Sixth Annual ChesterFest, Sat., Sept. 8, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Chester Village Green, Centre St. Over 100 vendors' booths featuring craft ers, politicians, civic organizations, churches and others will showcase the diversity of Chester. Entertainment will include music on three stages, dance groups, live animal demonstrations and fashion shows. Food for sale ranges from BBQ to Mexican to sausages. Miracle League Baseball onsite registration, 10 a.m.-noon, 10301 Courthouse Rd. The Miracle League serves young people ages 3-21 who suffer from physical or mental disabilities. Miracle League teams play on a custom-designed, synthetic turf field that accommodates wheelchairs and other assistive devices. Introduction to Touring Kayak, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Dutch Gap Conservation Area, 513 Coxendale Rd. This class is designed to teach the basics of flat-water kayaking and covers entries, exits, strokes, safety and the equipment needed to start kayaking. An optional tour of the Dutch Gap Conservation Area is included. Rental includes kayak and all equipment. Minimum age is 11 (youth ages 11-14 must be accompanied by a participating adult).
