Active Aging Week Calendar of Events
Mon., Sept. 24

Kickoff Rally and Open House, 2-7 p.m., Chester YMCA, 3011 W. Hundred Rd., Chester. Rally will include Tai Chi, tap dancing and line dancing demonstrations. Guest speakers will include Julie Christopher, commissioner of the Department of the Aging, and Cindy Angus, wellness director of the YMCA of Greater Richmond. Exhibitors will be on hand from healthy, active aging venues.

Tues., Sept 25

Discover Chesterfield walking club, 9 a.m., Huguenot Park, 10901 Robious Rd. Join an organized walk led by staff from the county's parks and recreation department. For more information, contact Judy Jones, 751-4135.

Sample classes, beginning at 10 a.m., Lifelong Learning Institute, 13801 Westfield Rd., Midlothian. Experience a sampling of what the institute has to off er. Free classes will be available in Comparative Mythology (10-10:50 a.m.), Balance Conditioning (12:30-1:20 p.m.), Our Feathered Friends (1:30-2:20 p.m.) and American Counterculture (2:30-3:20 p.m.).
