Eppington links guests with Thomas Jefferson

Visit Eppington Plantation, the home of Thomas Jefferson's brother-in-law, during its annual Heritage Day on Sat., Oct. 6, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Rare house and grounds tours of the 1770s plantation will be conducted during the celebration. Weather permitting, guests can also see the house from a bird's eye view in a tethered hot air balloon ride. Join in colonial dancing, hear period music and learn about life in Colonial Chesterfield County. There will also be games, activities and food for the entire family. Admission is free.
