Golf tournaments planned for next month Golf tournament fundraisers continue in full swing as the official start of fall approaches. Employment Services Chesterfield Employment Services will host the 2007 CES Open at the Country Club at The Highlands on Oct. 1, starting at 1 p.m. Registration is still open to sponsors and teams who would like to compete in the event. Team entries include 18 holes of golf, practice range balls, a team photo, an awards dinner, eligibility for raffle prizes and more. There are also seven different levels of sponsorship available. CES is a division of the Chesterfield County Department of Mental Health Support Services. Through partnerships with area businesses, the agency provides job placement, training and transportation to more than 160 county residents with developmental disabilities. Funds raised through the 2007 CES Open will help additional jobseekers find meaningful work. Nationally, more than 70 percent of adults with disabilities are unemployed. For details about the tournament or to register, call Dawn Missory at 271-9451 or e-mail missoryd@chesterfield.gov. The golf tournament will begin at 1 p.m. Lunch and dinner will be provided. Major sponsors include Bank of America Mortgage, Bank of America Private Bank, Carrabba's Italian Grill and Comcast.
