Dale supervisor candidates address the community

Dale District candidates forum, Thurs., Oct. 4, 7 p.m., L.C. Bird High School, 10301 Courthouse Rd. The Chesterfield County Council of Parent Teachers Associations and the Chesterfield Business Council of the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce are cosponsoring a series of candidate forums this fall. Supervisor and school board candidates will have an opportunity to present a short opening statement and will answer questions previously submitted to the forum by county residents and others. Eppington Heritage Day, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., 14201 Eppes Falls Rd. Spend an afternoon experiencing history at Eppington. Interpreters will demonstrate plantation life during the 18th century. The Brandermill Midlothian-Woodlake Lions Club will host its first Oktoberfest to raise money for the blind and hearing impaired in the community. There will be German food, beer, wine, music and a German car show. All are invited to eat, play games, dance and socialize.
