CRIME WATCH Chesterfield police have served warrants for vandalism and grand larceny on a 23-yearold man who is currently in the Richmond City Jail. Police say Jeffrey D. Kite and others arrived at the victim's home in the Lafayette Apartments complex in the 7100 block of Wentworth Street at 8:45 p.m. on Sept. 27 after an earlier argument. Police allege Kite broke out a window of the victim's vehicle and took some items. As the group left the apartment complex, one person in the group fired a gun into the air. In other crime reports: Elizabeth B. Davis Middle School. The suspect(s) broke into an office trailer at the construction site, broke a window and then threw several items outside. Windows were also broken out of a backhoe and in a school building under construction. Marina Drive. The victim said he was in the parking lot of Falling Creek Apartments at 12:40 a.m. on Sept. 30 when he saw the suspect firing a handgun. He was hit by one of the shots. In his attempt to get away from the suspect, he accidentally hit several parked vehicles with his vehicle. Meadowdale Boulevard. A suspect was seen firing shots into a vacant apartment at Regency Lake Apartments at 6:35 p.m. on Sept. 28. Memory Lane. The suspect was seen naked in the 10300 block outside of the Chesterfield Meadows Office buildings at 3 p.m. on Sept. 28. North Arch Village Court. The victim was taking a shortcut home from the CVS store at 1 p.m. on Sept. 30 when the masked suspects approached him in the 9100 block. Displaying a handgun, they demanded his money. When he refused, one suspect hit him in the face with the gun butt, causing him to drop his money. The suspects grabbed it off the ground and ran. Squire Hill Court. On Sept. 27, someone reported that a scooter left on the rear patio of a residence in the 3900 block was missing. Sturbridge Drive. Someone stole the tires off of a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix owned by Chesterfield Imports and left in the parking lot of Sturbridge Apartments on Sept. 29. |
