Health department schedules flu shot clinics

The Chesterfield County Health Department will hold two influenza-vaccination clinics for adults ages 19 and older. The clinics, which will be by appointment only, will be held in the multipurpose room of the Smith-Wagner Building, 9501 Lucy Corr Circle, on Tues., Oct. 30, from 9 a.m.-noon, and Wed., Nov. 14, from 2-7 p.m.

Appointments can be made by calling the health department at 768-7499.

The cost of the vaccination is $30. Medicare Part B will be billed. Please bring your Medicare Part B insurance card to the clinic.

Influenza vaccinations for children are given on a walk-in basis through the department's regular childhood immunization clinics held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 9-11 a.m. and 1-4 p.m., and on Thursdays, 9-11 a.m. and 1-6 p.m., except during the first Thursday morning of each month.
