Volunteers needed for buffer planting

The Chesterfield County Office of Water Quality, Friends of Chesterfield's Riverfront and Manchester High School are seeking volunteers to help plant trees as a buffer along Swift Creek near Bailey Bridge Middle School and Manchester High School. Volunteers are needed on Thurs., Nov. 1, 1-2 p.m., Fri., Nov. 2, 1-2 p.m., and Sat., Nov. 3, 8 a.m.- noon.

Please bring gloves and wear clothes that can get dirty, including boots or sturdy shoes. Light refreshments will be provided. To sign up for a planting date or for more information, e-mail Friends of Chesterfield's Riverfront at volunteer@chesterfieldrivers.org.
