War stories

Springdale at Lucy Corr, a sponsor of "The War," a PBS documentary series by Ken Burns, honored World War II, Korean and Vietnam War veterans last week by recording their stories on DVD and giving them a copy as a memento. Richard Saurs of Henrico County was one of many veterans who shared their story. Saurs served with the Air Corps, a precursor of the Air Force, from 1942-45.
