County announces winter light schedule at parks

The winter season light schedule for Chesterfield County parks is as follows:

Tennis

Tennis court lights will stay on until 9:30 p.m. each evening at the following locations:

• Harry G. Daniel Park at Iron Bridge (two hard courts)

• R. Garland Dodd Park at Point of Rocks (three courts)

• Huguenot Park (two courts) • Matoaca Park (three courts) • Midlothian High School (three courts) • Rockwood Park (courts 1, 2 & 3 only)

Basketball

Basketball court lights will stay on until 9:30 p.m. each evening at the following locations:

• Harry G. Daniel Park at Iron Bridge • R. Garland Dodd Park at Point of Rocks • Huguenot Park

• Rockwood Park (fenced courts only)

Tennis and basketball court lights will be turned off at all other facilities from Dec. 1 through Mar. 15.

The winter hours for Henricus Historical Park and Dutch Gap Conservation Area are 8:30 a.m.-sunset.
