Lucy Corr Village features local artists

The Arts Committee of Lucy Corr Foundation recently announced the fall schedule of local artists' exhibits displayed in the common areas of the Health Care Center of Lucy Corr Village.

The Bon Air Artists Association will display paintings of varied mediums throughout November, and Hopewell Artist Cholly Easterling will display watercolors and acrylics through December.

Students from Chesterfield County Public Schools also exhibit throughout the year, featuring photography, watercolors, acrylics, pastels and pencil and pen.

"Responses to the exhibits have been wonderful," said Executive Director Leigh Robbins.

"The Lucy Corr community has gotten involved in the project, bringing a sense of beauty and craftsmanship our residents would otherwise miss in their lives," continued Robbins. "An additional bonus has been sharing art displays and collections from staff and family members."

The Arts Committee has been involved with the project since November 2005.
