CRIME WATCH Chesterfield police have upgraded charges against a 38-year-old Ettrick woman from assault and battery to malicious wounding by a mob related to a May 27, 2005, incident. Kathy A. Dorsey, 38, of the 20100 block of Laurel Road, allegedly went to a residence in the 3300 block of Dupuy Road with several other juveniles and attempted to instigate an argument, threatening the victim and victim's children. An earlier altercation at a school precipitated the situation, but no physical harm occurred. Another juvenile was charged in the incident with disorderly conduct two and a half years ago. In other crime reports: Arboretum Place. Unknown suspects vandalized part of the parking garage in the 300 block of Arboretum III including damaging the elevators over the weekend of Nov. 9-12. Hull Street Road. A 1990 Jeep Cherokee was stolen from the parking lot of Clover Hill High School on Nov. 8 when the keys were left in the ignition. Hyde Park Drive. Police arrested two boys ages 15 and 17 and charged them with manufacturing an explosive device. The juveniles allegedly threw a homemade bottle bomb onto a playground in the 4100 block at 9:35 p.m. on Nov. 10. The bomb exploded, but no one was injured. Jefferson Davis Highway. The suspect climbed through an open window at the Virginian Motel at 4:20 a.m. on Nov. 10. He displayed a handgun to the victim and took clothing, money and other items before leaving through the window. Meadowbrook Boulevard. The victim was outside of his apartment at the Regency Lake Apartments at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 12 when the suspects first approached. One suspect displayed a knife and demanded his property. The victim called for his roommate, who came outside, and a struggle ensued. The victims fought off the suspects and retreated inside the apartment. Unable to force open the door, the suspects left. Midlothian Turnpike. Tires were stolen from the passenger side of a white Oldsmobile Alero parked at Car America in the 7500 block over the weekend of Nov. 10-12. Newbys Bridge Road. The victim was in her vehicle at 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 7 parked in the 3800 block when the driver of the suspect vehicle backed into her vehicle. The suspects got out of their vehicle, grabbed the victim by her arm and forced her to give them her vehicle information and insurance. They demanded some money, and when they received it, they drove off. Provincetown Drive. A handgun was stolen from an unlocked 2004 Nissan pickup parked at the Province Green Townhouses on Nov. 11. Providence Trace. Someone attempted to open the shed of one residence in the 2200 block on Nov. 8, and a weed-eater was taken from another residence in Solar II. Salem Church Road. Someone set a roll of toilet paper on fire in a bathroom at Salem Church Middle School at 12:40 p.m. on Nov. 8. Seaview Drive. A 2005 Toyota Corolla was stolen from the owner while parked at a residence in the Highlands subdivision in the 8300 block on Nov. 8. The keys had been left in the unlocked vehicle in the center console. Starview Court. A 2000 Dodge SUV was stolen from the 6900 block at Cloverleaf Apartments on Nov. 11. The victim had left the keys in the ignition and the doors unlocked. Watercrest Drive. Someone set fire to a dock owned by the Woodlake Community Association at 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 6. |
