County police apprehend robbery suspect, seek others

County police have arrested a 19-year-old man after he and several other suspects allegedly robbed a group of Latinos on Nov. 15 at the Regency Lake Apartments. The police department is now seeking four African-American accomplices who were with Michael A. Mayfield of the 3300 block of Meadowdale Boulevard when the robbery allegedly took place.

According to police, Mayfield and the others approached the victims in the parking lot of the 6400 block of Planet Road and demanded their money. One of the victims was punched, but they were able to get back to their apartment.

When the victims returned later at 7:40 p.m., they were confronted by the same suspects for a second time. One suspect had a knife, but the victims were again able to get inside the apartment without having any property taken.
