Lisa Billings/Chesterfield Observer About 1,000 pounds of dog and cat food was delivered to the Chesterfield County Animal Shelter earlier this month, capping off this year's Read 2 Feed Summer Reading Program through the county libraries. For every person who read 10 books (or read for 10 hours), Southern States donated one meal to an animal at the shelter. Southern States employee Kenny Oliole (above) helped unload the bags of food.
