No zero policy doesn't prepare for the real world Dear Editor, Hmm...What creative solution will Chesterfield's school system come up with next? So on Election Day everyone files into their respective voting place to find no voting booths there. At this point, I can visualize an election employee standing sheepishly in the corner saying, "You mean there was a deadline to have the booths ready?" Or, oops, your paycheck was supposed to be ready today? Oh well. Or, the groom saying to the bride, "We were supposed to be married at a specific time, and it was today? Well, at least I won't be getting a zero!" Heaven forbid that CCPS students should be learning how to be responsible adults. After all, they can get a big surprise when they get to college and get zeroes by the handfuls! And won't that be fun? Melissa Holly Midlothian |
