Annual farmers' educational breakfast set for Dec. 14 Do you need pesticide applicator recertification? Want to learn more about available cost share programs for your agricultural enterprise relating to soil conservation, water quality and nutrient management? Join James River Soil and Water Conservation District for its annual farmers educational breakfast meeting at Virginia State University's Randolph Farm Pavilion on Dec. 14 from 8 a.m.-noon. This year's program includes: • A pesticide applicator recertification class • Information on horticulture pest management, grain drill operation, maintenance and calibration, and the cost share program • An update on wheat production • Updates from the Farm Service Agency, Natural Resource and Conservation Service and James River Soil and Water Conservation District John L. Fallon, CCA nutrient management specialist, will be the featured speaker for the meeting.
