Spring semester registration underway General registration for the spring semester at John Tyler Community College is ongoing through Dec. 20 at noon. The spring schedule, which may be found online at www.jtcc.edu, features courses ranging from chemistry, history of western civilization and philosophy to machining, women's health and meteorology. Flexibility in scheduling is offered through day, evening, weekend, Internet and special session classes. Students already enrolled at the college are encouraged to register online using the Student Information System found at www. jtcc.edu/myTyler. They also may register in person at either the Chester campus, located at 13101 Jefferson Davis Hwy., or at the Midlothian campus, located at 800 Charter Colony Pkwy. The Chester campus will register students on Mondays from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. and Tuesdays through Fridays, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. At the Midlothian campus, registration will take place on Mondays through Wednesdays, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Thursdays, 8 a.m.-7 p.m. and Fridays, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Students may register online from Dec. 21- Jan. 2 during the college's holiday online registration period. Tuition and fees may be paid online and must be paid in full by 5 p.m. on Jan. 2. The college will be closed from noon, Dec. 20-Jan. 1, so the Student HelpDesk will not be available during that time. Late registration will take place Jan. 3-4. Students may register online or in person at both campuses from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. on Jan. 3 and from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. on Jan. 4. Tuition and fees are due on the day a student registers Tuition and fees are $80.15 per credit hour for Virginia residents and $255.30 per credit hour for out-of-state residents. All students must pay a comprehensive fee of $25. Individuals interested in attending John Tyler but not enrolled at the college must first submit applications for admission. Those who applied to the college but did not attend classes in the past year must reapply to John Tyler. The application for admission may be found online at www.jtcc.edu, or it may be picked up at the Chester or Midlothian campuses. There is no application fee. |
