Police search for Hull Street Road purse snatcher
Chesterfield police are seeking assistance for anyone who may have seen a purse snatching on Mar. 14 at 10:27 a.m. in the parking lot of Chattanooga Plaza at the intersection of Hull Street and Warbro roads. The suspect grabbed the victim's purse while she was sitting in her vehicle. She held on to the purse and was dragged from the vehicle into the parking lot. The victim chased the suspect through the parking lot until he jumped into the passenger seat of a waiting vehicle and made his getaway. The suspect is described as a white male, 18-25 years old. The driver of the white four-door Ford is a white female about the same age. Call Crimesolvers at 748-0060 if you have any information about this crime. In other police reports: Beechtree Court. Someone set fire to the interior of the victim's vehicle parked in the 3800 block on Mar. 14. Chippendale Drive. An unlocked, blue 1999 Saturn was stolen from the 4000 block in Squire Hill Apartments on Mar. 13. Coldstream Drive. A 2004 beige Kia Optima was stolen on Mar. 15 from the 4600 block in the Berwick Village Apartments. Deerhurst Drive. A green, 1998 Chevrolet Venture van was reported stolen on Mar. 10 from a residence in 11900 block in the Black Heath neighborhood. Ironbridge Parkway. Someone entered the Indian Cultural Center, most likely through an unsecured door, during the evening of Mar. 10 and set fire to one of the interior rooms. The building's sprinkler system extinguished the fire. Jefferson Davis Highway. The armed and masked suspects entered the 7-11 store in the 9100 block shortly after 9 p.m. on Mar. 16. They ordered the male employee to lie on the floor and told the female employee to open the cash registers. The employees were ordered to open the safe, but both said they couldn't. About that time, a customer drove up, and the suspects left the store and headed north on Jefferson Davis Highway. Mistora Road. Someone stole a license plate off of a 2004 Jeep parked in the 16200 block on Mar. 12. Shadymist Drive. A gray, 1999 Jeep SUV was stolen from the 8600 block on Mar. 11 in the Providence Pines neighborhood. Woodlake. Several vehicles and garages in the neighborhoods of Rosebay Forest, Orchard Grove, Powell Grove, Woods Walk and Silver Birch were burglarized on Mar. 15-16. Not all vehicles had items stolen, but money and other items were taken from most of the garages and vehicles. |
