Police's Senior Citizen Academy begins in May
      The Chesterfield County Police Department Senior Citizen Academy invites residents to be a part of its next academy. The 10-week program begins May 13 and will meet on Tuesdays, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., at the Clover Hill Police Facility, 2730 Hicks Rd.

Advance directives program
      The Chesterfield Council on Aging will host "Alternatives to Guardianship," a program about advance directives, living wills and power of attorney on Mar. 27, from 9-10:30 a.m., at Lucy Corr Village, 6800 Lucy Corr Blvd. Dana Traynam of the Virginia Office for Protection and Advocacy will present the program and answer questions about end-oflife issues.
