No charges against voyeur
A Goolsby Avenue peeping Tom is walking free after his victim declined to press charges. The suspect was observed looking into the victim's bedroom window at a residence in the 3000 block of Goolsby Avenue at 2 a.m. on Mar. 26. Uniformed officers spoke to the suspect but did not make an arrest because the victim said she knows the suspect and didn't want an arrest warrant issued. In other police reports: Chestertown Road. A license plate was reported stolen off of a motorcycle parked in the 12200 block in Chester Townhouse Apartments on Mar. 30. Chicora Drive. The suspect(s) broke out a window pane to gain entrance to the kindergarten section of Hening Elementary School in late March. They vandalized the interior by throwing paint on the floors and walls. Cricklewood Drive. A 1995 Honda was stolen from the 5900 block in the South Pointe Landing Apartments last month and was later recovered in Goochland County. Mallard Landing. The victim went outside to warm up his vehicle at 3:30 a.m. on Mar. 29 after visiting female friends in the 4100 block of the Mallard Cove Apartments. He was pushed into the vehicle by the suspect, and a struggle ensued until the suspect pulled out a handgun. When the victim put his money and other items on the pavement, the suspect bent over to pick up the property, and the victim ran back inside the apartment. Midlothian Turnpike. The victim was sitting inside a vehicle in the 11200 block at 10:30 p.m. waiting for his friend who was inside Wendy's. The suspect approached and asked for help, saying he was having car problems. As they walked toward the vehicle, the suspect asked him if he had any money. The victim replied "no" and was then hit over the back of his head several times, falling to the ground. The suspect ran off. North Arch Village Court. At 4:40 a.m. on Mar. 30, someone broke a window pane in a residence in the 9200 block, startling one of the occupants inside and apparently scaring away the suspect(s). North Stevens Hollow Road. The suspects entered the residence in the 6500 block and vandalized the interior. Reymet Road. A Toyota forklift owned by Alsco was stolen from the 1800 block on the last weekend in March and later recovered on Battery Brooke Parkway. Wynterbrooke Court. A 1990 Jeep Cherokee was found engulfed in flames at 5:54 a.m. on Mar. 31 in the 8100 block, causing an estimated $2,000 in damage. Chesterfield police believe the blaze was caused by a failure in the vehicle's electrical system, which created a fire in the engine compartment. |
