Council releases resource directory for seniors, others
      The Chesterfield Council on Aging has published its biennial resource directory of services for older adults and adults with disabilities in Chesterfield County. The directory is intended for older adults, adults with disabilities, their families, caregivers, professionals and service providers.

See Washington, D.C. by land and sea during trip
      The Chesterfield County Department of Parks and Recreation is sponsoring a daytrip for adults ages 50 and older to the nation's capital on Thurs., May 22. Spend the day in Washington, D.C. with retired Air Force Intelligence Officer Carol Bessette touring the Newseum, a 250,000-square-foot museum of news that spans five centuries of news history.

Senior program to address planning, services
      The Lifelong Learning Institute will host a program, "Older Adults in Our Community: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow," on Apr. 10, from 10-11 a.m. Speakers will be Thelma Bland Watson, executive director of Senior Connections, The Capital Area Agency on Aging, and Don Kappel, Chesterfield County director of public affairs.

Thomas Dale High School: First 100 Years program
      The Get in the Know Series is presenting "Thomas Dale: The First 100 Years" in honor of Thomas Dale High School's 100th anniversary celebration. Kathy Lehman, librarian at Thomas Dale, will give a talk on the history of the school on Tues., Apr. 15, from 10:30 a.m.- noon, at the Chester Library, 11800 Centre St. Refreshments will be served.
