CRIME WATCH

The victim was visiting a friend in the 5200 block of Autumnleaf Drive on Apr. 15 when he went to his parked vehicle in the Orchardhill community at 9:50 p.m. The masked suspect confronted him and yelled at him, demanding his money. The victim threw his money on the ground and continued to his vehicle to get his gun.

When the victim reached his vehicle and turned around, the suspect was gone. Chesterfield police say the suspect is a black male, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, wearing a baseball cap with a bandana covering his face. The suspect fled on foot.

In other police reports:

Allerton Street. At 10:20 a.m. on Apr. 8, the suspect entered the residence in the 6000 block displaying a handgun. He took a wallet off the kitchen table, grabbed a cell phone from the female victim and then followed her to get her purse. Then the suspect fled out the back door.

Brimley Place. The suspect gained entrance to the unlocked apartment in the 4700 block on Apr. 8 and stole a set of keys to a rented 2007 Dodge Charger. The vehicle was taken from the parking lot of the Berwick Village Apartments and later recovered in Richmond after a pursuit.

Buckhorn Road. Theft of money, firearms and other items was reported on Apr. 11. Forced entry was gained through the front door of the Deerwood residence.

Gaffney Road. An unlocked, white, 1997 Chevrolet pickup was stolen on Apr. 11 from a parking lot in the 2900 block of the Quail Oaks neighborhood.

Indian Hill Road. On Apr. 9, a condenser unit and two heat pumps were reported stolen by an employee of the Barksdale Oil Company located in the 2300 block.

Ironbridge Plaza. A white, 1996 Nissan Sentra was reported stolen on Apr. 9 from the shopping center in the 12000 block.

Jalee Drive. The victim's 1999 Cadillac Escapade was stolen from the residence in the 4300 block in Wilkinson Terrace on Apr. 13. The victim still has the only set of keys to the vehicle.
