Two robbed at Chesterfield Towne Center
CRIME WATCH
County police are still seeking a man who robbed two men as they left Chesterfield Towne Center after an afternoon of shopping on June 3 at about 6:30 p.m. The man followed them as they walked to their car and then stopped them to ask a question. Before either victim could answer, the suspect stepped in front of them with a gun and demanded their money. Once the man had their cash, he got into a car occupied with several other people. The victims recognized the others as having been with the suspect inside the mall. The suspect and others with him left the mall parking lot, heading toward Huguenot Road. The suspect is described only as a black male. As of press time, he has not been taken into custody, and the investigation is pending. In other crime reports: Beulah Road. Sometime between 11:30 p.m. on June 4 and 7:45 a.m. on June 5, someone broke a rear window of a classroom trailer at Beulah Elementary School in the 4200 block. Electronics were stolen. Boyce's Cove Drive. Between 11 p.m. on June 2 and 5 a.m. on June 3, someone stole a quarter tank of gasoline from the gas tank of a car parked at the Boyce's Cove Apartments in the 14700 block. Breaker Point Court. Someone entered the crawlspace of a home in the 7800 block sometime between noon on April 26 and 4:30 p.m. on June 5. In an attempt to steal copper, the person damaged copper pipe and an air conditioner. Breezy Court. At about 4 p.m. on June 4, a man was walking along the road in the 3900 block when several people approached and began pushing him around. One of them stole the man's cell phone and pushed him to the ground before all of the suspects ran away. Chicora Drive. Between 4:30 p.m. on June 6 and 8 a.m. on June 9, someone entered a classroom trailer at Hening Elementary School in the 5200 block through a window. Clothing and food were taken. Hull Street Road. Air conditioning units were stolen from outside Proficient Construction in the 11000 block sometime between 5 p.m. on May 15 and noon on June 4. Kelly Green Lane. Copper pipe was stolen from a construction site in the 13300 block sometime between 5 p.m. on May 30 and 8 a.m. on June 3. Mansfield Crossing. Sometime between 8 p.m. on June 7 and 6 a.m. on June 8, gasoline was stolen from a car parked in the 1000 block. Meadowdale Blvd. Between noon on Feb. 13 and 2 p.m. on June 8, several vending machines were stolen from the Meadowdale Shopping Center in the 4100 block. Reginald Court. Between 2:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. on June 6, license plates were stolen from a car parked in the 3200 block. Remuda Drive. Shortly after midnight on June 8, a man who had been visiting friends near his home in the 5400 block in the DuPont Village Apartments crossed the street to return home. Two suspects approached him, pointed a pistol at him, told him to put his hands on the ground and demanded his cash. The man said he didn't have any. One of the suspects hit him with a stick, then both suspects ran away. Sanbury Lane. On June 3 between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., someone known to the victims entered a home through an unlocked door in the 11800 block and assaulted several people in the home. Summer's Trace Drive. Between 8 a.m. on Dec. 1, 2007, and 5 p.m. on June 5, someone entered the crawlspace of a home in the 3800 block numerous times and removed copper pipe. The thefts were discovered when the homeowner tried to use the air conditioner, which had been damaged by the removal of the copper pipe. Timsberry Circle. Someone entered a home in the 15200 block by removing the weatherstripping around the outside screen of a first-floor window and pushing the unlocked window open sometime between 5 p.m. on June 7 and 6 a.m. on June 8. Clothing, jewelry and electronics were taken. Weir Road. Five Verizon company vans were burglarized in the 2500 block sometime between 5:30 p.m. on June 3 and 7 a.m. on June 4.
