Suspect flees from screaming woman

CRIME WATCH

In the parking lot of the Walgreen's on Buford Road at Midlothian Turnpike, a woman opened her car door to climb in, but was stopped by a man wearing a ski mask and holding a knife. He walked to the side of her car and yelled, "Stop!"

The lady screamed, and other people in the parking lot moved in her direction. The masked man ran away.

The incident happened on July 3 at about 10 p.m. The suspect is described as a white male, 16-17 years old, and 5 feet, 10 inches tall. He has not been caught. Anyone with information about this crime should call county police at 748-1251 or Crime Solvers at 748-0660.

In other crimes:

Beechgrove Drive. Someone entered a residence in the 10300 block between 6 p.m. on July 3 and noon on July 6 and stole money and jewelry.

Belmont Road. Sometime between 1 p.m. on July 4 and 3 p.m. on July 6, someone kicked open the front door of a residence in the 8700 block. Firearms were stolen.

Chalkley Road. Someone entered an unlocked garage at a residence in the 11300 block twice between midnight on June 10 and 5 p.m. on June 29. Food was taken from a freezer and a GPS was removed from an unlocked car inside the garage.

Chesterfield Avenue. Between 5:30 p.m. on July 4 and 11:30 a.m. on July 7, suspects climbed over the roof and into the courtyard at Ettrick Elementary School in the 20900 block. The suspects broke a window in the library to get into the school and damaged several areas inside. Property was stolen.

Key Deer Drive. Sometime between 7:30 a.m. on June 28 and 6:30 p.m. on July 1, someone entered a residence in the 14200 block through an unlocked window. Livestock and electronics were taken.

Lingstorm Lane. At about 11:20 p.m. on July 6, a man was walking to his home in the 200 block at the Tanglewood apartment complex when he was struck on the head from behind. Money, jewelry and electronics were stolen.

Luckylee Crescent. On July 1 at about 9:20 p.m., shots were fired at a residence in the 3500 block. No one was injured.

Martin Glen Place. Gas was stolen from an SUV parked at a residence in the 5800 block sometime between 2 p.m. on July 2 and 10 a.m. on July 3.

Meadow Oaks Boulevard. At about 9:45 p.m. on July 5, shots were fired into a moving car in the 3300 block. No one was injured.

N. Arch Road. Between 7 a.m. on July 4 and 7 p.m. on July 6, someone cut a screen to a rear patio door, then reached in to unlock the door and entered the home in the 100 block. Electronics were stolen.

Pinetta Drive. Someone broke a bedroom window of a residence in the 600 block to get inside. Electronics were taken.

River Road. At about 10:30 p.m. on July 8, a masked man entered Dyson's Store in the 8100 block with his hand wrapped in a shirt as if he had a weapon. He demanded money. The clerk told the suspect he didn't believe there was a gun and called 9-1-1. The suspect ran from the store.

Tanner's Way. Shortly after midnight on June 29, suspects approached victims in a parking lot in the 3200 block at Rollingwood Apartments. They carried handguns and demanded the victims' money. Once the victims gave the suspects their cash, the suspects fled.
