Greater Richmond photo contest

The "My Greater Richmond" photo contest, sponsored by the Greater Richmond Partnership, launched July 14 and runs through Aug. 23. Prizes have a total value of $2,000. The contest is a call to community members to show regionalism by submitting photos depicting greater Richmond's unique qualities. Four photos will be selected as winners; one representing each of the contest's sponsoring localities, including Chesterfield, Hanover and Henrico counties and the city of Richmond.

"The contest is a fun way to get the community involved in helping promote the greater Richmond region as a great place to live, work and play," said Gregory H. Wingfield, CEO and president of the Greater Richmond Partnership. "We're excited to see new perspectives on greater Richmond and perhaps use them in our marketing materials."

To enter, go to www.mygreaterrichmond.com and use flickr.com accounts to upload images for submission. Winners will be announced at the beginning of September and will be featured in WORKMAGAZINE. Any questions regarding the contest should be submitted to mygreaterrichmond@yahoo.com.

The contest is also sponsored by Ukrop's Supermarkets and Madison + Main.
