Weekly card groups looking for players

Enjoy coffee and socialize with other senior adults while playing cards. The following senior card groups, sponsored by the county's Parks and Recreation Department, are seeking new players:

 

Pinochle Card Group, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., every Wednesday, Bensley Community Building, 2900 Drewry's Bluff Road. New players always welcome. Free. For more information, call 275- 5321.

Graveyard Paddle, 9 a.m.-noon, Henricus Visitor Center, 251 Henricus Park Road. Paddle to the old sunken tugboat and the "skeleton" of wooden barges. Bring a snack and a drink. Part of the Parent and Child Paddling Explorations Series. For children ages 8 and older (an adult must accompany and participate with child). Cost is $10/person. Makeover Magic, 3-4 p.m., Chester Library, 11800 Centre St. Teens will learn to look their best during this makeover program featuring professionals from Clinique and Mary Kay.
