Fun and food at the county fair
      The 95th Annual Chesterfield County Fair finished its run last weekend, wrapping up nine days of rides, games and other festivities. What's new at school?
      County students were greeted with some changes when they filed back into classrooms for the start of the new school year yesterday. First, the school system opened two new middle schools to students for the first time.

Chime in on next year's school calendar
      The school year may have just begun, but administrators are already planning for next year's first day of school and beyond. The Chesterfield School Board was presented a proposed calendar for the 2009-10 school year at its meeting last week. The calendar calls for 180 student days, with the school year beginning on Sept.
