Chesterfield trims expenses to meet declining revenues
      The county government and Chesterfield County Public Schools (CCPS) are taking steps to reduce spending and stay within lower anticipated revenues as the county copes with the impact of the nationwide financial crisis. The FY09 shortfall is projected to be $22.

Children's Theater holding auditions
      The Chesterfield Children's Theater will hold auditions for "Princess Christmas Follies" on Nov. 15 at 11 a.m. and Nov. 16 and 17 at 6 p.m. Kids of all ages who act, sing or dance are needed to fill the roles of various fairy tale characters. The show will include highlights from "The Grinch," "Nutcracker" and "A Christmas Carol.

Four injured in multi-vehicle intersection crash

      Four accident victims were placed in ambulances and taken to nearby hospitals on Oct. 26 around 7 p.m. after their vehicles crashed into one another at Omo Road and Cyrus Street. Crews from Dale and Centralia stations, along with county police, teamed up to handle the incident.
