Robber takes the money, but leaves the gas
Even though gas prices have come down, gasoline is a commodity that thieves still find attractive. But a service station robber recently opted for cash instead of the valuable liquid. Police are searching for a man who robbed the CITGO service station at 2730 E. Hundred Road just before 4 p.m. on Nov. 4. According to police, a thin, black man with a light complexion pulled a gun on a clerk at the service station and demanded money. He took the loot and fled on foot. The suspect is 25-35 years old and stands 6 feet, 1 inch tall. He was wearing sunglasses, a blue bandana that concealed his face, white baseball hat, jeans and a white T-shirt.
