No enthusiasm for decorated modes of transportation Neighbors in the 1900 block of Gildenborough Court awoke on the morning of Nov. 20 to find someone had taken it upon themselves to add artwork to a vehicle and a boat during the night. One victim's car and another's boat had been spray painted and hit with eggs. One of them told police he'd been a victim of several similar incidents during the preceding few months. Also during that time, he said someone had stolen beer from a refrigerator inside his garage. At about 6:50 p.m. on Nov. 24, someone broke into a home in the 6000 block by breaking glass out of a kitchen door, then reaching inside to unlock it. The victim, who was in the kitchen at the time, ran to a bedroom and locked herself inside. Nothing appeared to be missing from the home. Battista Court. Between 5:45 p.m. and 6:20 p.m. on Nov. 21, someone entered an unlocked apartment in the 500 block of the River's Bend Apartments and stole a laptop computer.Bollingbook Drive. Just before 1 a.m. on Nov. 21, someone fired shots into a residence in the 11900 block while the occupants were sleeping. No injuries were reported. Castlewood Road. Between 8:15 p.m. on Nov. 18 and 2:45 p.m. on Nov. 19, someone broke into the business office and warehouse of Gibson Industrial in the 4900 block by prying open a window and stole office equipment and other property.Donnaford Drive. Sometime between 11 p.m. on Nov. 18 and 7:30 a.m. on Nov. 19, someone stole tools from the bed of a pickup truck parked in the 14000 block. Someone also pried out the rear driver's side window, which was found lying on the ground beside the truck. Green Garden Circle. Between midnight on Nov. 7 and 8 a.m. on Nov. 8, someone stole a GPS from a vehicle parked in the 800 block.Jefferson Davis Highway. At about 5 p.m. on Nov. 24, someone stole money from a coin machine at Express Car Wash in the 9700 block. New Forest Trail. Between 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Nov. 21, someone broke into a home in the 11500 block by prying open the front door and stole clothing, jewelry, electronics and other property.Old Stage Road. Sometime between 5 p.m. on Nov. 19 and 7 a.m. on Nov. 20, someone broke into two Apex Electrical utility trailers at a construction site in the 12700 block and stole household goods and other property. Pineville Court. At about 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 24, a resident answered a knock at the door of a residence in the 9600 block. Three suspects forced their way inside. One of them held a gun on the victim, while the others searched the house, rummaging through bedrooms and looking under mattresses and sofa cushions. The suspects stole money before leaving. Railgate Trail. Between 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 23 and 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 24, someone stole a shotgun from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 4100 block.Wal-Mart Way. Sometime between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Nov. 23, someone stole a woman's wallet from her purse while it was unattended in a shopping cart at the Wal-Mart store in the 900 block. W. Huguenot Road. At about noon on Nov. 23, someone stole a blue 1997 Ford Explorer from the driveway of a residence in the 10200 block. Woodpecker Road. Just after midnight on Nov. 22, someone tried unsuccessfully to break into a drink machine located outside a Food Lion store in the 20800 block. |
