Perpetrator's persistence for cash finally pays off
That old adage, "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again," was apparently on the mind of a thief who recently tried to steal from Noah's Ark Antiques in the 16700 block of Jefferson Davis Highway. Shortly after 1 p.m. on Nov. 30, a white man wearing a black ski mask and a hood pulled tight around his face walked into the store and threatened the clerk with a kitchen knife. He demanded she give him the cash from the register. When he found there was no money there, he ordered the clerk to give him the cash from inside a file cabinet. There was no money there either, but the suspect continued to demand the clerk give him cash. The clerk finally gave him what money she had in her purse, and the suspect left the shop.
