County man charged in domestic incident

A Chesterfield man living in the 4900 block of Burnt Oak Drive just south of the Falling Creek Reservoir has been charged with rape, object sexual penetration and assault and battery on a family member. George Minor, 32, was arrested by Chesterfield police on Jan. 19, the day the alleged crimes occurred.

Due to the sensitive nature of the case, police declined to provide additional details.

In other crime reports: Burnt Oak Drive. The victim was sitting in his vehicle letting it warm up at 6:20 a.m. on Jan. 9 when the suspects opened the vehicle's door and ordered him out of his vehicle. Both were armed with black handguns. One suspect searched the inside of the vehicle for money. The suspects took the victim's cell phone and ran off. While the police were investigating this robbery, a second, similar robber was also reported in the Ivy Walk Apartments. Courthouse Road. Earlier this month, a catalytic converter was stolen from a 2000 Dodge Ram van parked at Good News Baptist Church.

• On Jan. 4, the victim was involved in an altercation following a basketball game at Lloyd C. Bird High School. Several suspects struck him, but he was able to prevent one suspect from taking money from his pockets. The suspects fled when Chesterfield police arrived. Cyrus Street. At 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 9, the victim was getting out of his vehicle after returning home to the 6500 block in the King's Forest neighborhood. The armed suspect ran up to him and demanded his money and cell phone. The victim refused, and the suspect struck him, knocking the victim to the ground. Witnesses then came out of the residence, causing the suspect to run to his vehicle and drive off. Hull Street Road. At 2:50 a.m. on Jan. 19, the victims had just closed the Taco Bell at Harbour Pointe Village in the 13600 block and were walking to their vehicle when the suspects stepped from behind the dumpster. The victims were ordered back inside the building where the suspects took money from the register and the safe. Jefferson Davis Highway. Two heating/air conditioning units were taken from Noah's Ark Antiques in the 16700 block.
