100 Cocker Spaniels looking for owners

Dear Editor,

I would like to thank the Chesterfield Observer for its coverage of Oldies But Goodies (OBG) Cocker Spaniel Rescue's adoption events last year in Chesterfield. Our group is based in northern Virginia, but we take every opportunity to find additional venues to showcase our dogs.

We currently have around 100 dogs looking for a new place to hang their leashes. We believe that as a direct result of your coverage, we had great turnouts, a number of adoptions, and numerous inquiries about adopting, volunteering and fostering. You have truly made a difference in the lives of many homeless cockers!

We will be coming back to the Chesterfield PetSmart, 1276 Car Mia Way, on Sat., Feb. 9, from noon-3 p.m., and would like to invite your readers to drop by to meet some of our adorable "wigglebutts."

Please check out our Web site (www. cockerspanielrescue.com) for additional information. You might be interested to learn that we get calls from Richmond area shelters and over the past several years have rescued quite a few local cockers whose time had run out.
