Praise for new county board of supervisors

Dear Editor,

This board of supervisors has already, with two clear and distinct strokes, demonstrated that it is no longer "business as usual" in Chesterfield County. By (1) adding an additional citizen comment period near the beginning of the evening meeting and (2) remanding the Upper Swift Creek Plan back to the planning commission for further consideration, the board has demonstrated to the citizens that their collective voices on Nov. 6, 2007 were heard.

Keep up the good job you've done thus far. Tougher times and much more difficult decisions lie ahead. But you are on the right track and have the train moving in the right direction, for once.

As one citizen to the board of supervisors, thank you!
