Professional engineers?

I would like to congratulate the authors of two letters to you in the Feb. 27 edition of the Chesterfield Observer. Each author, Ms. Ellen M. Eggerding and Ms. Marilyn Nelson, both of Midlothian, did an excellent job of articulating their feelings about the design and ongoing construction along Winterfield Road.

I am, however, at a bit of a loss as to why you, as editor, or they themselves, omitted the P.E. behind their name as I am sure they are both well qualified professional engineers skilled in transportation analysis and design.

Thank you for allowing everyone's opinion to be heard.
