PUBLIC NOTICE The Board of Zoning Appeals of Chesterfield County, on Wednesday, April 2, 2008, beginning at 1:00 p. m., in the Multipurpose Room (1st Floor) of the Chesterfield County Community Development Building, 9800 Government Center Parkway, Chesterfield, Virginia, will consider the following requests:

08AN0198: In Bermuda Magisterial District, VENSON GUNTER requests a Variance to use a parcel of land which has no public road frontage and/or fronts on a dedicated but unimproved public road for dwelling purposes in an Agricultural (A) District and amendment of zoning district map. The density of such amendment is approximately 0.37 units per acre. The Comprehensive Plan suggests the property is appropriate for residential use of 2.51 - 4.0 units per acre. This property is known as 16503 Harrowgate Road. Tax ID 797- 632-5099.

08AN0201: In Matoaca Magisterial District, JOHN KOZAK requests a Variance to use a parcel of land which has no public road frontage for dwelling purposes in an Agricultural (A) District and amendment of zoning district map. The density of such amendment is approximately 0.53 units per acre. The Comprehensive Plan suggests the property is appropriate for residential use of 1.01 - 2.5 units per acre. This property is known as 6306 Hickory Road. Tax ID 780-619-2384. Access will be across 779- 619-part of 9283, 780-619-part of 1229 and part of 1656.

08AN0203: In Dale Magisterial District, JAMES S. LITTLE requests a two (2) foot Variance to the four (4) foot fence height limitation in the corner side yard in a Residential (R-7) District and amendment of zoning district map. The density of such amendment will be controlled by zoning conditions or Ordinance standards. The Comprehensive Plan suggests the property is appropriate for residential use of 2.51 - 4.0 units per acre. This property is known as 6301 Philbrook Road. Tax ID 782-682- 7155.

TAKE NOTICE Take notice that the Board of Supervisors of Chesterfield County, Virginia, at an adjourned meeting on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at 6:40 p.m. in the County Public Meeting Room at the Chesterfield Administration Building, Route 10 and Lori Road, Chesterfield, Virginia, will hold a public hearing to consider:

An ordinance to establish the annual tax levy on various classes of property for the County of Chesterfield.

A copy of the ordinance is on file in the County Administrator's office, Room 504, 9901 Lori Road, Chesterfield County, Virginia and may be examined by all interested persons between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

All persons wishing to present their views on this subject are encouraged to call the Office of the Clerk to the Board of Supervisors at (804) 748-1200 to be placed on the speakers list, or may appear and sign up at 6 p.m. before the meeting.

An ordinance to amend the Code of the County of Chesterfield, 1997, as amended, by amending and re-enacting Sections 18-22 and 18-27 relating to fees for sewer connection and monthly water and sewer capacity cost charges. This ordinance is being proposed pursuant to authority granted to the County by Va. Code §§ 15.2-2109, 15.2-2118, 15.2- 2119 and 15.2-2143. The full text of the ordinance is reproduced below. AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE COUNTY OF CHESTERFIELD, 1997, AS AMENDED, BY AMENDING AND RE-ENACTING SECTIONS 18-22 AND 18-27 RELATING TO SEWER CONNECTION FEES AND WATER AND SEWER USER FEES CHARGES

BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Supervisors of Chesterfield County: (1) That Sections 18-22 and 18-27 of the Code of the County of Chesterfield, 1997, as amended, are amended and re-enacted to read as follows: Sec. 18-22. Connection fees.  (b) The capital cost recovery charge shall be:

The capital cost recovery charge for meters that are larger than 12 inches shall be determined by the director based on the number of ERUs per unit.  
(v) The capital cost recovery charge for a dwelling that is served by a meter that is larger than five-eighths inch shall be the same capital cost recovery charge in  
subsection (b)(iv).        

Sec. 18-27. Utility charges. Effective with bills issued on and after July 1, 2007 2008, the consumer shall pay charges for utility service in accordance with the following schedules: (a) Monthly service charges. The monthly service charge shall be:

(1) Customer cost charge. A customer cost charge of $1.70 for each service account. However, customers who have only a water account or a wastewater account shall pay a customer cost charge of $3.40. (2) Commodity cost charge. (i) Water: $1.24 per 100 cubic feet (Ccf). (ii) Wastewater: $1.31 $1.39 per 100 cubic feet (Ccf).

(3) Capacity cost charge.

(v) The capacity cost charge for a dwelling that is served by a meter that is larger than five-eighths inch shall be the capacity cost charge in subsection (a)(3)(iv).  

(b) Ancillary charges.
