Fugitives arrested for Elkhardt Road theft Thanks to witnesses, county police arrested two suspects wanted for crimes in Pennsylvania after they broke into a residence in the 7600 block of Elkhardt Road on Mar. 10. The suspects gained entrance through the back door, which had a pane broken out. They allegedly stole CDs, DVDs, clothing, foreign currency and knives, but all items were recovered. Ronald L. Wayne, 23, and Kelly A. Fries, 25, both of no known address, were charged with breaking and entering and grand larceny. Wayne was also charged with possession of a controlled substance. In other police reports: Drexelbrook Road. Masked and armed suspects assaulted and robbed the victims of their money while they were playing video games in the garage of a residence in the 7700 block of the Pennwood neighborhood on Mar. 10 at 10:15 p.m. Jefferson Davis Highway. The victim and his roommate were walking in an alley at 8:15 p.m. on Mar. 7 when the suspect approached him. Armed with a gun, the suspect demanded money. When the victim did not respond, he shot the victim in the leg. Meadowdale Boulevard. The victim arrived home to his Regency Lake apartment on Mar. 5 in the 3400 block and found the door frame pried off in order to gain entrance. Money and other items were stolen. Pleasant Hill Drive. Suspect(s) entered the Honda Odyssey in the 400 block on Mar. 9 and jimmied the glove compartment to take money. River Road. Someone damaged a rear door when they tried to forcibly enter a residence in the 4000 block, but the suspect(s) were unable to gain entrance. Rock Run Road. The victim waited several days to tell police that she saw the suspect standing naked at the door of his residence in the 6600 block. The alleged incident occurred at 7:40 a.m. on Feb. 7 in the Pocahontas Acres neighborhood. Winterbourne Court. A 2007 Baha Motorsports Dirt Runner was stolen from a shed in the 20500 block in the Hickory Hills Estates neighborhood. Woods Walk. A license plate was reported stolen from a Chrysler Town and Country van in the 5600 block of the Woodlake neighborhood on Mar. 1. |
