Government shouldn't meet at private clubs

Dear Editor,

I read the article about the private legislative meeting, which was in the Feb. 13 issue. Brilliant! I am a new resident to Chesterfield, and I'm not impressed by our local officials hosting a private gathering, which appears to be an annual event. This is not a good example of democracy whether it is legal or not. The board of supervisors and county administrator will certainly get a letter from me expressing my dissatisfaction.
