This federally funded preschool program is available to 3- and 4-year-olds from low-income families in eight elementary school zones: Bellwood, Bensley, Chalkley, Ettrick, Falling Creek, Harrowgate, Hopkins and Marguerite Christian. Chesterfield has space for 196 children in Head Start, and administrators hope to fill vacancies by June.
