Police department's Family Fun Day to support Bike for the Blue

The Chesterfield County Police Department will host Family Fun Day at the Eanes-Pittman Public Safety Training Center, 6610 Public Safety Way, from noon-4 p.m. on Sat., Apr. 26. The event will support the annual Bike for the Blue bicycle ride to Washington, D.C. in honor of fallen law enforcement officers nationwide.

There will be fun and games for families, music, face painting, pony rides and a dunking booth. Donations will be accepted as admission.

A contingent of county police officers will join other Virginia officers to make the 115-mile bike ride to Washington, D.C. to attend the National Police Memorial in May.

Contributions may also be made to the Chesterfield County Police Foundation, P.O. Box 1684, Chesterfield, VA 23832. Please include a note that your contribution is for the Bike for the Blue fund.
