Victim assaulted, robbed after meeting to play basketball

The victim was assaulted by five black males of unknown ages after meeting them at Grange Hall Elementary School to play basketball around 5:30 p.m. on Apr. 27. He was robbed of his shorts, which contained his vehicle keys, cell phone and wallet, and received "bumps and bruises" during the struggle.

Chesterfield police continue to investigate this case.

In other crime reports:

Bridal Path Drive. An unlocked, white 2003 Nissan Altima was stolen from the driveway of a residence in the 21300 block in the Country Home Estates neighborhood on Apr. 22.

Chippendale Drive. A silver 2007 Kia Spectra was reported stolen from the 4000 block on Apr. 26 from the Squire Hill Apartments.

Coldstream Drive. A gold 2002 Chrysler Concorde was reported stolen from a residence in the Berwick Village Apartments in the 4600 block on Apr. 24.

Hann Road. Unknown suspect(s) took a laptop computer from a residence in the 8500 block on Apr. 23. Entry to the residence in the Solar I community was apparently made through an unlocked front door.

Hull Street Road. License plates were reported stolen from a van owned by Wilkinson Flowers parked in the 7200 block on Apr. 22.

Midlothian Turnpike. Tires and rims were reported stolen off of a Mercury Cougar parked in the 7500 block at Car America on Apr. 25.

• Chesterfield police responded to a store alarm for 2000 Net Computers in the 1000 block at 1:38 a.m. on Apr. 29. The suspect(s) had pried the glass out of the front door, causing the glass to shatter. Computers were removed from a display.

Richmond Street. The roof of a white 2003 Mazda Miata was cut while parked in the 12400 block on Apr. 21. Nothing was stolen from the vehicle.

Rimswell Place. Someone stole copper wiring, refrigerant and thermostat wiring from the crawl space of a residence under construction in Walnut Grove late last month in the 11800 block.

River Terrace Road. Someone stole an unlocked and running white 2002 Nissan Maxima from the 20800 block in the River Road Terrace Apartments at 9:30 a.m. on Apr. 23.

Sagebrook Court. At 10:45 p.m. on Apr. 28, neighbors witnessed the suspect going through vehicles in the 3000 block in Brandermill and called the police. Chesterfield police responded and arrested the suspect, but have not released additional information because he may be involved in other crimes.
