VHDA homeownership classes set The Virginia Housing Development Authority and local nonprofits are offering free homeownership-education classes throughout October. Homeownership-education classes cover topics that include personal finances, credit issues, the role of lenders, working with real estate agents, home inspections and mortgage closings. To become eligible for VHDA loans, borrowers must complete a VHDA homeownership class. For a complete listing of VHDA homeownership classes, visit www.vhda.com.
