Tour historic Mid-Lothian Mines

From 1703-1942, Chesterfield's coal mines generated wealth, employment and prosperity in Midlothian and helped shape the history of the county. Learn about the county's extensive mining history through a free walking tour of Mid-Lothian Mines and Railroad Park on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 11 a.m.-noon.

The walking tour covers easy-to-moderate terrain and will take place rain or shine. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. The tour begins at the Mid- Lothian Mines Park, located at 13301 North Woolridge Road. Space is limited.
