      Red and blue emergency lights crisscrossed the blackness in the 6900 block of Cogbill Road on Dec. 26 around 9 p.m. as rescuers worked feverously to save four victims whose lives hung in the balance.

Flags to be collected for proper disposal
      Did you know you shouldn't just throw away an American flag you no longer want? Did you know there is a proper way to dispose of flags? Thomas Dale High School's JROTC will accept worn, faded and torn U.S. flags to be properly disposed of by burning. Those who want to dispose of an old flag may drop it off from Jan. 12-16 at the high school, located at 3626 W.
