SportsQuest adds tournament complex

SportsQuest is adding a state-of-the-art tournament complex to its sports and family entertainment facility planned near the intersection of Powhite Parkway and Route 288. The company recently added 200 acres of land to its current 50 acres to accommodate the tournament complex.

As envisioned, it will include 30 outdoor fields and two indoor fields for lacrosse, rugby, volleyball, soccer, field hockey and football. The complex will be available for Olympic and amateur sports tournaments. Company CEO Steve Burton hopes to attract national and regional tournament play with the new facilities' amenities, which will include lighted fields, covered seating, outdoor pavilions and a mix of natural and artificial turf on the playing fields.

SportsQuest officials expect the new complex to attract more than 130,000 out-of-town visitors to Chesterfield annually. At least 100 new part-time and full-time jobs should be created once the complex opens.
