Thief takes dog, leaves everything else

Gwen Sadler

A Meadowdale Townhouses resident probably knew something was wrong on June 17 when her canine companion didn't greet her at the front door. She soon realized why: Her 4-year-old, tan and white boxer was missing from her apartment. Nothing else was taken.

The theft in the 3600 block of Meadowdale Boulevard apparently took only minutes, happening between 8:29 a.m. and 8:50 a.m. The apartment had been locked, and there were no signs of forced entry. Police are treating the incident as a burglary and have no suspects.
