Take notice that the Board of Supervisors of Chesterfield County, Va., at an adjourned meeting on December 16, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. in the County Public Meeting Room at the Chesterfield Administration Building, Route 10 and Lori Road, Chesterfield, Va., will hold a public hearing where persons may appear and present their views concerning:

Revised Boundaries to the County’s Enterprise Zones and revised benefits, subject to approval by the Va. Dept. of Housing & Community Dev. Specifically, the County plans to amend the Code of the County of Chesterfield, 1997, as amended, by amending and re-enacting Section 6-5 to extend certain business license tax relief to businesses relocating within any enterprise zone or subzone. TheCounty also proposes to amend the boundaries of the Walthall Zone, as described below:

Walthall Zone: Amend the existing zone boundaries by (i) adding 118 acres to include properties located on Jefferson Davis Highway, West Hundred Rd, Weir Rd and Briggs Rd. (ii) Subzone #2: adding 144 acres to include properties located on Midlothian Turnpike, Cloverleaf Drive, Starview Lane, Granite Spring Road, Ruthers Road, Turner Road, S. PROPOSED FY2011 ENHANCEMENT

PROJECTS

Take notice that the County Administrator has submitted a recommended FY2011 Transportation Enhancement Program to the Board of Supervisors. The Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing at its regular meeting on December 2, 2009, at 6:30 p.m. in the County Public Meeting Room at the Chesterfield Government Complex, at 10031 Iron Bridge Road, Chesterfield, Virginia, to consider the program. The county intends to apply for funds allocated by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) for the Program.

Activities of the VDOT Transportation Enhancement Program include:

• Pedestrian and bicycle facilities

• Pedestrian and bicycle safety and education

• Acquisition of scenic or historic easements and sites, including historic battlefields

• Scenic or historic highway programs including tourist and welcome centers

• Landscaping and scenic beautification • Historic preservation

• Rehabilitation and operation of historic transportation buildings, structures, or facilities

• Preservation of abandoned railway corridors, including the conversion and use of the corridors for pedestrian or bicycle trails

• Inventory, control and removal of outdoor advertising

• Archaeological planning and research

• Environmental mitigation to address highway runoff or reduce vehicle-caused wildlife mortality

• Establishment of transportation museums Citizens who would like to comment on the county's proposed Transportation Enhancement Program are encouraged to send their comments in writing to the Transportation Department, Chesterfield County, P.O.
