Robbery Hulk Hogan style Many robberies involve threatening victims with guns or knives, but a couple of thieves recently accomplished their goal with actions that seem more appropriate for the wrestling ring than the street. At about 11:30 p.m. on June 13, a man parked his vehicle near his home in the 6100 block of Cricklewood Drive at South Pointe Landing Apartments and headed toward the dumpster with some trash. A suspect approached him and asked him what time it was. The victim reached into his pocket to retrieve his cell phone so he could answer the question, and another suspect approached from behind and put a choke hold on the victim’s neck. The victim fell to the ground, and the suspects took off with his phone and other property. Both suspects were described only as black males. Anyone with information about this robbery is urged to contact the Chesterfield County Police Department at 748-1251 or Crime Solvers at 748-0660 or text the code tip699 with the tip and send to 274637 (CRIMES).
