A repeat appearance and other prostitution tales
      A woman who appeared in the News Briefs section of last week’s Chesterfield Observer as a result of a prostitution arrest for actions she took on Aug. 15 has been arrested twice since for the same offense. Police conducted a prostitution operation along the Jefferson Davis Highway corridor, making several arrests around 2:40 p.m. on Aug. 26.

      Employees at Mercedes-Benz of Richmond at 12200 Midlothian Turnpike were surprised as they watched a recent customer return her new vehicle to the shop’s showroom – through the side of the building.

Man arrested after dog died
      When a woman discovered her dog dead in a vehicle on Aug. 17, it sparked a domestic feud that resulted in the arrest of her partner. As a result of the deceased canine, a warrant was issued for Ryan C. Bonds, 23, of the 12100 block of Timber Trail Drive in Midlothian. He was taken into custody without incident, according to police.

New V-J Day exhibit now open
      The Chesterfield Historical Society of Virginia has opened a new exhibit on the 65th commemoration of Victory over Japan (V-J) Day at the County Museum, located at 6813 Mimms Loop in Chesterfield. It was on Aug. 14, 1945, that the World War II Allies formally accepted the unconditional surrender of the imperial armed forces of Japan.
