Small quarters lead to big opportunities for thieves

Harris Harris Apartment crime is a regular occurrence in the county, as evidenced by the following incidents:

Bannockbarn Drive: Someone broke the passenger window to gain entry to a locked 2000 Ford Crown Victoria parked at Roxbury Square Apartments in the 7600 block sometime before 9:30 p.m. on Aug. 10. Electronics were stolen.

Chinaberry Drive: While the victim was outside, someone entered her unlocked unit at Tivoli South Apartments in the 700 block sometime before 4 p.m. on Aug. 13 and stole consumable goods.

Creek Way: Electronics were taken from an unlocked black Jeep Wrangler parked at Ashton Creek Apartments in the 4000 block sometime before 5:15 p.m. on Aug. 10.

Gatesgreen Drive: Electronics were taken from an unlocked silver 1998 Honda parked at Courthouse Green Apartments in the 6400 block sometime before 10 p.m. on Aug. 14.

Hailey Crescent Drive: Someone entered a unit at Genito Glen Apartments in the 400 block through an unlocked rear window sometime before 11:45 a.m. on Aug. 15. Nothing was reported stolen.

Meadowdale Boulevard: Someone broke the rear sliding-glass door of a unit at Regency Lake Apartments in the 3400 block sometime before 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 14. Nothing was reported stolen.

Quiet Pine Circle: Someone bent the window screen and opened the front window of a unit at River Forest Apartments in the 5700 block sometime before 8 a.m. on Aug. 11. Nothing was reported stolen.

Riddle Road: Someone entered an unlocked unit at Courthouse Green Apartments in the 9500 block sometime before 5:15 p.m. on Aug. 13. Firearms, jewelry and electronics were stolen.

In other crimes:

Alderwood Way – Ashley Forest: Several vehicles, homes and garages were entered in the 3200 block sometime before 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 14. Clothing, money, jewelry and electronics were stolen.

Bridgewood Road – Glen Tara: The victim saw an unknown suspect rummaging inside an unlocked pickup truck parked in the 4300 block at 11:05 p.m. on Aug. 14. The suspect fled when a security light turned on. Electronics were stolen.

Chesterfield Avenue: Someone broke a rear glass door to gain entry to Ettrick Methodist Church in the 21300 block sometime before 10 a.m. on Aug. 10. Consumable goods were stolen.

East Hundred Road: Someone stole copper from AT&T and American Tower Corp. in the 2600 block sometime before midnight on July 13.

Gimbel Drive – Prestwould Farms: Four unlocked vehicles were entered in the 14600 block sometime before 6 p.m. on Aug. 8. Nothing was taken.

Greenfield Drive – Greenfield: A utility trailer parked at a residence in the 1800 block was stolen sometime before 11 p.m. on Aug. 14.

Holly Trace Drive – Holly Trace: A GPS unit was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 6200 block sometime before 8 p.m. on Aug. 13.

Jefferson Davis Highway: An unknown suspect broke the front glass door of Woco Express Food Mart in the 7400 block, sounding an alarm at 12:40 a.m. on Aug. 13. Consumable goods were stolen.

Kenmont Drive – Salisbury: Electronics were taken from an unlocked truck in the 14300 block sometime before 9:15 p.m. on Aug. 10.

• Electronics were taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 14500 block sometime before 10 p.m. on Aug. 10.

Kingsland Road: Someone attempted to remove inspection stickers from three unlocked vehicles belonging to G.M. Clements Co. in the 4400 block sometime before 10 p.m. on Aug. 9.

Mall Drive: License plates were stolen from a green 2007 Ford Escape parked at Chesterfield Towne Center in the 1400 block sometime before 11:10 a.m. on Aug. 14.

Meadowdale Boulevard: Copper was stolen from two HVAC units belonging to MJB Enterprises in the 4100 block sometime before noon on Aug. 15.

Midlothian Turnpike: Household goods were taken from Pearson Honda in the 7400 block sometime before 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 10.

Mill Spring Drive – Woodlake: A license plate was stolen from a trailer parked in the 14700 block sometime before 4 p.m. on July 17.

Redwater Creek Road: Someone made a bomb threat to Cracker Barrel in the 12400 block sometime around noon on Aug. 6. No bomb was found. On Aug. 12, Jessica K. Harris, 21, of Weybridge Road, Chester, was charged with threating to bomb/damage a building.

Shiloh Drive – Centralia Gardens: An unknown suspect was observed backing a vehicle up to the victim’s locked shed in the 9600 block at 1 p.m. on Aug. 11. The victim shouted at the suspect, who then fled the area. Nothing was stolen.

Starview Lane: A 2005 Toyota was discovered on fire in the 700 block at 11 p.m. on Aug. 12.

West Hundred Road: Someone stole a firearm from a locked vehicle parked at the Clarion Motel in the 2400 block sometime before midnight on Aug. 14.

• The ignition switch of a white Ford truck belonging to Miller Pipeline Corp. was damaged when someone tried to steal it from the Comfort Inn in the 2100 block sometime before 5 p.m. on Aug. 11.

Williamstowne Drive – Surreywood: An unknown suspect(s) broke a rear glass door to gain entry to a residence in the 2100 block sometime before 9 a.m. on Aug. 10. The home was ransacked, and jewelry and electronics were taken.

Willis Road: Someone broke a side window to gain entry to the Economy House Motel, which is under renovation, in the 2300 block sometime before 8 p.m. on Aug. 14. Nothing was reported stolen.
